day trip scuba diving koh racha yai phuket thailand divers

Koh Racha Yai Island is a popular site among divers due to the clear visibility ( an average of 15 - 30 meters) all year round.

Consisting mostly of hard coral sloping reefs with a flat bottom covered with white sand, the site is sheltered inside the bay and is thus free from strong currents.diving phuket thailand

This combination makes Koh Racha Yai Island an ideal place for beginners and infrequent divers.

There are also deeper reefs, which are suitable for more experienced divers.

Like all dive sites in Phuket we are lucky to have a constant water temperature of 29C / 84F.

Koh Racha Yai is under one hour via Thailand Divers fast day trip boat.

Koh Racha Noi island is two hours away from Phuket island by our day trip boat, and well worth the journey.

This is the best island if you are interested in seeing the large schools of fish as well as sharks and manta rays.

At Koh Racha Noi you have the best chance of all dive sites to encounter the magical manta rays which will grow to an impressive 6 meter span.

Also keep an eye out in the blue for the white tip and black tip reef sharks. These are the quietest dive sites in the Phuket area due mainly to the distance from the port, so normally it will only be our day trip boat on the island for the day.

phi phi islands scuba diving day trip thailand divers phuket

Phi Phi Islands are located 2 hours East of Phuket, one of the most talked about locations in Southern Thailand.

The bright turquoise of the water contrasting with the rich hues of the vertically rising limestone cliffs makes for an unforgettable first impression.

There are two islands, Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Leh. The larger and inhabited, Phi Phi Don attracts hundreds of visitors to stay on its lovely shores.

There are also two smaller islands south called Koh Bida Nok and Koh Bida Nai which we also dive on from time to time.

The great thing about Phi Phi is not only the amazing beauty below the water but also the stunning scenery about the water.

This is one place not miss on your holiday to Phuket.

1: No over crowding.

This is guaranteed since we are not a boat share company like most others in Phuket.

This means that you can be assured that there is no over-crowding and no confusion with the staff as all the guides / instructors are permant staff of Thailand Divers.

The day trip boat has a legal capacity of 45 people but we never place more than 25 people on the boat per day so there is lots of room for kitting up on the dive platform and space to relax between dives.

2: 100% saftey record:

Since we are 100% British owned and managed dive company safety is our main concern.

3: Well maintained and modern rental scuba diving equipment.

The groups are split depending on the divers experience so the depth limitations are kept for each typr of diver. As there is nothing worse that being in a group with newly qualified divers and going to maximum depth of 18 meters when you are a Advanced Open Water diver who can go to 30 meters.
